You can send the Entry Form and/or Master Sheets to a player via EMail by creating a PICT file. (If the player has a Macintosh, see the Mac QB Player Edition chapter for an easier way of doing this.)
Sending the Entry Form
1. Select Save Entry Form PICT File from the File Menu.
2. When prompted, enter the name you want for the Entry Form PICT file.
Mac QB will next create a picture of the Entry Form and save it as a PICT file. You can then send the Entry Form PICT file to a player via EMail. The player can use any paint program to enter his/her name and picks on the Entry Form. The player then saves the PICT file and returns it to you via EMail.
Sending the Master Sheets
If the player's paint program can handle large PICT files, then send all pages of the Master Sheet as one PICT file. If not, then set the Separate PICT File Per Page option in the Preferences in the Edit Menu before you prepare the Master Sheet PICT file.
1. Select Save Master Sheet PICT File窶ｦ from the File Menu.
2. Choose the week you want to send.
3. When prompted, enter the name you want for the Master Sheet PICT file.
Mac QB will next create a picture of the Master Sheet and save it as a PICT file. If you have the Separate PICT File Per Page option set, Mac QB will create a separate PICT file for each page and add the page number to the name you entered for the file.
If you have a separate PICT file per page, place the pages in a folder and compress the folder using Stuffit, Compact Pro or whatever compression application you have. In case the player does not have the same compression program, you should set the compression to a self-extracting (.sea) file. Now, you can send all the pages as one compressed file.
